Our guest speaker was Bruce Quakenbush, the Chairman of the Maryland Home Improvement Commission (MHIC). The Maryland Home Improvement Commission is the States's regulator on the Residential Building Industry. The MHIC sets standards, imposes fines and has a recovery fund for homeowners who have been cheated by contractors. Bruce is an Attorney and Partner in American Contracting Corporation.
